Pray For Me

"Take both your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and go, and [ask your God to] bless me also.” Exodus 12:32 AMP?
When
God “goes off script,” it is hard to continue trusting Him. Listen, God
is at work right here, right now. He NEVER stops working.
Picture
Pharaoh, the tyrant king. Wholly self-satisfied, worshipped as a god,
absolute ruler over the lives of millions. Surrounded by sycophantic
servants - none to contradict him, none to disobey him, none to question
him. Enthroned in his palace.
Two brothers,
Moses and Aaron stand before this Pharaoh with an authoritative request
from God - "Let my people go!" The demand is met by a contemptuous
refusal, Who is Jehovah?
"Pharaoh said, “And
who is God that I should listen to him and send Israel off? I know
nothing of this so-called ‘God’ and I’m certainly not going to send
Israel off.” Exodus 5:2 MSG?
Pharaoh’s
rejoinder to Moses, puts a question which God alone can properly answer.
"Who is the Lord that I should obey his voice to let Israel go?"
By the time God was through with him, he knew who God is.
Amazingly,
Pharaoh had a final request of Moses and Aaron – go, and bless me also.
This so-called “god” had finally been humbled to the point of wanting
Moses' God to bless him.
He owns that Moses has
a standing in Divine favor; enjoys an invisible Divine protection; and
is the possessor of peace, happiness, and inward support, to which his
own wretched life is utterly a stranger.
The
man who starts with total disdain and disregard for God, concludes his
interaction with Moses by requesting that he prays to his God to bless
him.
It may be possible right now that people
are mocking you and your God. Keep on keeping on. Continue faithfully
serving God, and one of these days, your mockers will beg you to take
them to your God.
God just wants to show off
in your life. Your trials are His platform to get the glory. So, don’t
worry about how it looks, how you feel, or how long you’ve been going
through that thing.
If you find yourself in a
valley season wishing you were on the mountaintop, God sent me today to
challenge and change your perspective. He is allowing you to go through
this so that He can show off His power and get the glory through your
life.
I will see you at the top.
Shalom!
